Photograph of Headgear
Put on appropriate headgear. This can vary from run to run.
A neck warmer plus a toque, headband, or earmuffs are an essential for every winter run. Balaclavas will cover your entire face, excluding your airways and eyes, which can be a substitute for other headgear.
For sunny days with snow on the ground, wearing sunglasses will protect your eyes from glare caused by the sun reflecting in the snow. For runs at night, a head lamp is compulsory for safety.
